REGISTRATIONS FOR TERM 2 OPEN TUESDAY 17 MARCH

Carmichael Ford Aussie Hoops – Your Child’s First Step towards Competitive Basketball

Townsville Basketball Inc’s fun and engaging introduction to basketball for kids aged 4–12 years.

Carmichael Ford Aussie Hoops is TBI’s official introductory basketball program, designed to spark a lifelong love of the game through fun, active and age‑appropriate sessions. Children build confidence as they learn core skills, teamwork and game basics in a supportive environment.

All Aussie Hoops sessions are delivered by elite coaches and players, including those with NBL1, Junior Australian, State and Townsville representative experience. Our coaches are hands‑on, supportive and committed to ensuring every child gets the most out of each session.

With the growth of our program, sessions are now grouped and named according to the day and age‑level focus:

Aussie Hoops Raptors — Saturday Sessions

For players aged 5–12 years, Raptors sessions run across 4 courts and are grouped by age to ensure the right level of challenge and development. Younger Raptors participate on U8 courts, while older beginners aged 7–12 years train in a format that mirrors competition age groups.

U14 and U12 aged Raptors use a full court with standard‑height rings, while U10 aged Raptor sessions are on a full court with lowered rings to support correct technique and confidence. Each session is tailored to the needs of the age group, balancing foundational skills, modified drills and exciting gameplay.

Aussie Hoops Mustangs — Tuesday Sessions

A brand‑new program designed specifically for our youngest ballers   aged 4 – 6 years. Mustangs sessions introduce movement, coordination and basic basketball skill development through fun, high‑energy activities tailored to early learners.

Aussie Hoops Rangers — Thursday Sessions (TSP)

Held at the Townsville Sports Precinct, this program offers a mid‑week option for players aged 5.5 – 9 years, delivering the same high‑quality skill development and gameplay focus in a convenient North Ward location.
